Vacancy: Academic Administrator
Lady Margaret Hall invites applications for the full-time post of Academic Administrator. This is a key post with independent responsibility which reports to the Senior Tutor and Tutor for Graduates. The Academic Administrator is responsible for committee servicing, and administration relating to undergraduates and graduates on course, including maintaining student records on the student database, creating numerical reports, organising college and University examinations, and liaising with the University administration. The postholder needs to work closely with other members of the College who are responsible for admissions, financial matters and tutorial administration and to take an overview of the entire academic administrative processes.
Applicants should have a high level of IT literacy and excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload, at times under pressure. Applicants also need highly developed interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff and Fellows.
The appointment will be made on the University Grade 7 scale £27,466 to £33,780. Benefits include a contributory staff pension scheme, free lunches whilst on duty and a holiday entitlement of 35 days including public holidays.
